5 February 2026 | Barefoot Bowling
Clovelly Bowling Club | 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Kick off the year with Dutchlink, with a game of Barefoot Bowling. It’s a fun, laid-back outdoor game, and a great way to connect with the Dutch community in Sydney. We meet at the Clovelly Bowling Club, an absolutely stunning location with beautiful ocean views.
On the business front, we look forward to welcoming Philip Engelberts for the first C-suite breakfast of the year on 3 March. In collaboration with the Consulate-General of the Netherlands and the five Dutch Chambers of Commerce in Australia, we are participating in an exclusive webinar on the Australia–European Union Free Trade Agreement on the 24th of February.Let us salute women in aviation
8 March
Join us on International Women’s Day in March to celebrate women in aviation.
Squadron Leader Lisa Casey, commanding officer of RAAF Wagga, will be the keynote speaker at a unique event – a high tea in the English tradition at a most unlikely venue, the Uiver hangar at the Albury Airport
Also on the program will be Marianne Evans, helicopter pilot and proprietor of Albury company Helifly, and Bridget Hosking, an air traffic controller at Albury and a training specialist with Airservices Australia, who will also share experiences from their careers in aviation.
The moderator for the afternoon will be Gaye Pattison of ABC Goulburn-Murray.
As well as the guest speakers, the event will also celebrate six women pilots, including two Australians, who were connected with the 1934 London to Melbourne air race that brought the Uiver to its dramatic forced landing at the Albury racecourse. Their stories are told in a booklet to be available at the high tea.
Part of the Uiver hangar will be transformed for the high tea, with tables complete with white linen – just like a traditional English tearoom and with treats and beverages to match.
Hosted by the Uiver Memorial Community Trust, the high tea will run from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, March 8, at the hangar in Bristol Court, off the Riverina Highway on the south-west corner of the Albury Airport. Ample free parking is available. Entry from 1:30pm.
Tickets at $50 pp (plus handling fee) are available at Eventbrite.

Kingsday Illawarra
Illawarra Rhododendron & Rainforest Gardens | Mount Keira | 10:30 AM
Dutchlink goes regional!
Many Dutchlinkers live in the Illawarra and therefore we’re taking Dutchlink beyond Sydney. In collaboration with the local Dutch community we are hosting a Dutch-themed Kingsday in the Illawarra/Wollongong region. Just an hour’s drive from Sydney, it’s the perfect excuse for a day trip to explore this stunning region and connect with friends.
Expect a traditional flea market, classic Dutch games, music, and a relaxed BYO picnic. A $5 pp garden entry fee applies (children are free).
Koningsdag is known for its vrijmarkt, a nationwide Dutch tradition where people sell, swap, or give away pre-loved items! Bring items such as (Dutch) books, toys, games, or memorabilia, lay them out on a picnic rug, and enjoy a relaxed community vibe while trading, bartering, or giving your items a new home.
30 April
Hollands Nieuwe
We have exciting news: Our favourite band Hollandse Nieuwe will once again bring Dutch vibes to our Kingsday Celebrations at Bungalow 8 in Darling Harbour. Save the date of Thursday 30 April! And Dutchlink is also expanding to the region. We are partnering with the local Dutch community in Illawarra/Wollongong to host a Kings day community event.
